Just using the primary colors is one form of meditation for me. Most of them go in the recycle, but some I like to go on looking at.
Figure drawing has always been a great pleasure. At the PAFA the “croquis” class on Saturday mornings with many short poses was my favorite. In the 1970s I organized Life classes at Cambridge Art Association. More recently a neighbor organized life drawing in his garage for several years. The lines of the figure are wonderful to me.
The occasional landscape is about composing space with light and forms. Just not my best thing. Occasionally I’ll do one. I went with a friend to a two week stay in France and concentrated on landscape. A very good time, again nothing to do but paint, eat, drink, and walk.
